AIpocalypse

AIpocalypse: The AI War is my second science fiction novel. Set ten years after the events of Avogadro Corp: The Singularity is Closer than It Appears, it explores what happens when an entire race of artificial intelligence develops.

Synopsis

This adventure follows Leon Tsarev, a smart high school student who loves biology and is coerced into writing a computer virus. Leon, who knows nothing about computer viruses, leverages what he does know: biology and evolution. The result, a quickly evolving computer virus, spreads around the planet, engulfing computers, smartphones, and embedded systems.

Forced to compete with each other for the fixed number of computers in the world, the virus must evolve more sophisticated abilities or die at the hands of other viruses. In a matter of days, the virus evolves a generalized intelligence.

Meanwhile, human civilization is unraveling. With commerce and transportion completely dependent on computers, there's no way for people or goods to get around, and no money to effect transactions. Emergency services are ineffective as well, and a tremendous fire spreads unchecked across much of New York City.

It's a race against time and hostile A.I. to find a peaceful solution and restore order.
